The band FOURBACK is back with its latest album “Past of Steel”: 8 new covers and a bonus track from pop music’s greatest songwriters of the 20th century, Paul McCartney and John Lennon.
The band, as with the successful “Rock show!!!,” moulds Lennon and McCartney’s greatest classics in a pure rock dimension with originality and freshness continuing the path undertaken in 2005.
The songs revisited by Fourback highlight the executive dynamic, the structure of the acoustic and electric guitars and the strong beat of the drums that transform typical pop tracks into rock pieces and in several cases result in small jewels to listen to: Jealous guy, Venus and Mars, Letting go.
It is limiting to define FOURBACK as a strictly “cover band” because this is a step closer to artistic and songwriting maturity towards an album of unpublished pieces already in progress whose debut is expected in the very near future… let’s keep our eyes open and anxiously await the album of unpublished songs and, in the meantime, let’s turn up the volume and listen to PAST OF STEEL.
