Vasoline is Southern California’s leading tribute to Stone Temple Pilots capturing all of the sound, excitement and energy of a live performance by the multiple Grammy Award winning band (44 million albums sold; 16 Top 10 hits). Vasoline was launched in STP’s hometown of San Diego in early 2012 for the sole purpose of recreating an authentic live Stone Temple Pilots experience both musically and visually performing titles from STP’s albums Core, Purple, Tiny Music, No. 4 and their self-titled 2010 release. From songs like “Plush”, “Sex Type Thing” to “Big Empty”, “Interstate Love Song”, “Lady Picture Show” and “Between the Lines”, Vasoline delivers an adrenaline rushed show with an accurate and precise sonic recreation of STP’s greatest hits. Capturing the onstage persona of Scott Weiland, STP’s flamboyant and chaotic lead singer, has become an obsession with Vasoline frontman Doug Lozier. From the looks, the moves and his constantly changing appearance and vocal style, he embodies STP’s legendary lead right down to the use of his signature megaphone for vocal effects. Vasoline continues to draw impressive numbers to shows from a diverse demographic. The members of Vasoline are seasoned musicians and have performed in numerous original, tributes and cover projects including Hellbent, Fault Line, H.A. Perkins, High Def Dynamite, Slither and Toxicana.
