An ecstatic reception at the 1999 Simple Minds convention in London, firmly established SAMPLE MINDS as the World's premier tribute act to Simple Minds. With a truly international following, SAMPLE MINDS have performed extensively throughout Europe headlining festival dates, and once again delivered a stunning show at the 2003 Simple Minds fan convention held in Glasgow. In 2006 the band played a huge televised concert at the World Cup quarter final clash between Germany and Argentina. 2007 marked a landmark performance at Rotherham Football Stadium when the band were joined on stage by none other than Simple Minds legendary founder member and bassist – Derek Forbes.
