MISSTALLICA is an all FEMALE tribute to METALLICA!!!!!!! It was formed in 2008 by drummer and former tennis prodigy, Kaleen Reading and guitarist/vocalist Gina Randazzo. The two met after Reading posted an ad in a local newspaper called The Incinerator. The ad stated that she was looking for “a sick metal chick to rock out with.” She just wanted someone to jam with, someone else to rock out some SABBATH, maybe some MAIDEN, you know maybe a little DIAMOND HEAD, perhaps a bit Jethro Tull (SIKE!!) Anyway, the two began jamming and the musical chemistry was perfect.

A few weeks later a local club owner was looking to book a sweet metal act and asked the girls to play. They impulsively agreed without discussing what exactly they would even play. But when you’re asked to play a sweet metal gig there’s only one thing to be played………METALLICA!!!!!!! Gina Randazzo has the Hetfield in her heart and the fire of hell in her soul. NO LIFE TILL LEATHER!!!!! Kaleen informed Gina that she also plays in a little band called QUEEN DIAMOND, THE WORLDS ONLY (we think) ALL FEMALE TRIBUTE TO KING DIAMOND!!!! The wheels were turning for an all female tribute to METALLICA, and Kaleen’s plan was to use the guitarist from QUEEN DIAMOND, Gigi, to fill out the band.

Reading sent Gigi a message via messenger hawk asking if she would join the band. Without hesitation, Gigi grabbed her axe and jumped in her AH-1 Super Cobra twin engine attack helicopter. On her way to the swamps of Jersey from somewhere between the fifth ring of Hell and Philadelphia, the ladies learned every METALLICA song from KILL ‘EM ALL to THE BLACK ALBUM. The almost complete MISSTALLICA’s first band practice was so freaking heavy and awesome that everyone in a 10.72 mile radius dropped dead. The girls were pleased with their rehearsal and decided to have a celebratory meal at their favorite restaurant (International Hamburgers And Tasty Eats). Once they were 10.73 miles out of the town they had practiced in, the girls heard the most beautiful sound they had ever heard. It was the sound of distorted bass…….with WHA WHA! The celebratory meal had to wait. It was time to go on an adventure to find what could be the one thing to complete their band. They pulled up to A Mansion in Darkness where the sound was coming from and kicked down the door. What was inside was the lead singer of QUEEN DIAMOND Teddi Tarnoff practicing bass. The girls didn’t recognize her without her KING DIAMOND makeup and apparel but they were thrilled at the idea of having her in the band!!
